Protective equipment
Helmets, armour and other protective equipment reduce risk. They do not eliminate it. Protective equipment performs as intended only when it fits correctly, is undamaged, is within the manufacturer's service life, and is worn as the manufacturer specifies. Replace any helmet that has taken an impact, whether or not damage is visible. Certification marks shown on a product refer to the standard that product was tested to and are not a guarantee against injury.
