About Our Google Ads API Application
What this application is
Southern California Motorcycles is a family-owned motorcycle dealership in Brea, California. We operate an internal software application that connects to the Google Ads API so our own team can manage our own advertising account.
This page exists to describe that application. It is not a product, it is not for sale, and it is not available to anyone outside our business.
Purpose of the application
The application does two things, both against a single Google Ads account that we own and operate:
- Reporting and auditing. It reads performance data — campaigns, keywords, search terms, ad assets, impression share and conversion actions — to produce monthly performance reviews of our advertising spend.
- Campaign management. With approval from the business owner, it applies changes to our own campaigns: daily budgets, bidding strategies, keywords and negative keywords, ad copy, and ad assets such as sitelinks and callouts.
Every change the application makes is reviewed and approved by a person before it runs. Nothing runs unattended, and every change can be reversed.
Who uses it
Employees of Southern California Motorcycles only. The application manages exactly one Google Ads account, which we own. It does not create or manage accounts for any other business, it is not distributed or licensed to anyone, and there are no external users.
Google user data
The application signs in with a single Google account belonging to our business, using OAuth, in order to access our own Google Ads account. It does not sign in on behalf of customers or members of the public, and it does not request access to anyone else's Google data.
