XD-5 Helmet

A dual sport Arai for adventure riding, with a PB-cLc² shell, the VAS-A shield system and a peak with a greater range of adjustability for blocking the sun.

Shell and shield

• The PB-cLc² shell is reinforced at the forehead by a super fiber belt.
• The VAS-A shield system is lowered to further improve glancing off ability.
• The shield can be attached or removed without the need for any tools, and the peak utilizes only one screw on each side.
• The VAS-A Max-Vision shield preserves a wide field of view, and the optional Pinlock® insert resists fogging.

Airflow

• The inner shutter works in conjunction with the mouth shutter to adjust the airflow entering the helmet, directing air towards your mouth or towards the shield to help reduce fogging.
• The AR spoiler reduces fatigue from turbulent air throughout long rides.
• The retractable pull-down air flap reduces wind intrusion into the bottom of the helmet.

Comfort and devices

• The odor-resistant and stain-resistant interior has the same level of acidity as bare skin.
• A removable foam layer on each side of the head-liner allows you to remove 5 mm of foam for micro-fitting.
• The Hyper-Ridge® has a flat surface on the sides for easy installation of communication devices.
• Deep, wide ear pockets with a hook and loop panel accommodate speakers, and the neck roll has a pocket for excess wiring.
